The Alamo, Of Course
Who could visit San Antonio and NOT see The Alamo? Well, not me, that's for sure. The photo is not the best; the sun was right behind the building and I took this with my Treo.
But - at least I can always say, "I'll remember The Alamo". :)
Here's some pictures of The Riverwalk area around the hotel; it's pretty cool and I hope to go back to visit some of the shops.
You know what was a surprise for me? You would think that you could get a decent Margarita in San Antonio, would you?
Well, color me disappointed...
This is What $25 Looks Like
Yep! It's a waffle! Not the exact one I just ate but similar. I ordered a waffle (no bacon or eggs - just a waffle) and a small pot of coffee from room service. $25 plus tip! Can you believe it. I am staying at a beautiful hotel and the room is nice but $25 for a waffle!?!?!?
I'm going out for lunch and tomorrow breakfast and lunch is included in a session I am attending. Not sure what I'm doing for dinner - probably NOT room service. I hope to take some pictures later. I forgot to bring my camera so I'll see how well my Treo takes pictures of the local flavor. Have a great day, y'all.

Two Quick Posts
I just wanted to post a couple of quickies before I leave this morning for San Antonio.
I wanted to tell you about about Nobu. Nobu takes a picture each day with his cell phone. They are random pictures - a lot of them taken on his way to work in Funabashi City in Japan. I have learned so much just reading the daily posts. Fun! Check out Funabashi Daily Cell Phone blog.
Also, Kellie over at Don't Look Now has generously posted a tutorial for these adorable children's art smocks. How cool is that! Thanks, Kellie!
Well, I'm off. Bon voyage to me! Have a great day all of you!

Madison, You Rock!
Dahling, is that you behind those Foster Grants?
Celeb Update: "Madison" was seen sporting her new designer sunglasses while on a recent shopping trip with her Mom and Grammie.

Hasta la Vista Baby!
I'm heading for Austin for a few days. Leaving ER-ER-early tomorrow morning. I hope to check out some shops while I'm there. It's a business trip but I should have a little down time. I'll be staying on E Market St, near the Alamo, which of COURSE, I'll visit - duh!. If anyone wants to recommend something, please leave a comment.
Paper Necklace
It's PAPER! Hah! The beads are paper!
I am going to have to try to make one of these...only I don't have a cutter so mine might not look this, but who cares? If you would like to see how it's done, visit Folding Trees for the tutorial.

Tutorial: How to Make this Lovely Fabric Corsage
Want to make one of these?
They're simple, quick, fun and even something you can do with your kids.
Thanks to Molly Chicken for the tutorial. A friend of hers bought something similar to this, which she took apart to figure out how to make.
By the way, take a few more minutes to read through her blog. Her British humor is such a pleasure! She claims she can't write but I laugh at nearly all of her posts. She's also EXTREMELY talented and willing to share. Have fun!
