Q's So Cute it Hurts Handmade

I love finding new blogs and I love it more when bloggers find me!
JQLine (from Maylasia) found me through Flickr! and I'm glad she did. She makes adorable hand-crafted items and her blog, Q's So Cute It Hurts, is a lot of fun and - cute!.
Check out these elephant coasters.
And how cute is this little bunny house key holder.
Love these? She also has an Etsy shop where you can purchase her items.

Thanks for finding me, JQLine!

Madison's Valentine's Day Card

Not the greatest drawing in the world but I kind of like the idea. You know we love elephants. That's her (Madison) being held up to see the balloon a little closer. Hope she likes it!

Elephant on Wheels

I used Hillary Lang's Pig on Wheels pattern to make this elephant.
I loved the pig she did but we're big on elephants around here and I made this for Madison to hang on the Christmas tree.
I know it's not very Christmasy but I think she will like it.
I had a little trouble with the gusset but with a little working it came out ok - not as nice as Hillary's but ok for a first try. Make sure you stop by the Wee Wonderfuls blog and also check out their shop for some other great patterns.
Thanks, Hillary.

Children's Book Plates

Aren't these sweet?
On page 38 of the latest Small Magazine. I love this magazine. The way they lay out their pages makes you want to buy everything just because it looks so cool. It always gives me good ideas as wel Take a look if you get a chance. By the way, all of the book plates are made by Etsy sellers.

Amazing Paper Cut

Elsa Mora, aka Elsita, has a new blog, All About Papercutting, devoted to her amazing paper cuts. This is just one example of the intricate work she does. From what I have read on her other blog, Elsita, also amazing, she doesn't draw a pattern first. She just cuts what she thinks in her head.
She is one of my favorite artists and one of my favorite bloggers.
Enjoy!

Fabric Circus Elephant

Sweet Nellie has created this adorable fabric elephant with crochet features. He almost looks animated. I guess we know about the appeal of this particular animal. I've posted them before: elephant purse by Diekleine Stoffwerkstatt, the polymer clay elephants I made for Madison's keepsake box, and these from Annettenett's blog.

Elephant Purse

Love this adorable elephant purse. I have been thinking about making one of these for Madison when she's a little older.
This version was made by Diekleine Stoffwerkstatt and is for sale over at DaWanda.
If you haven't visited Dawanda, give it a try for a fresh look at handmade items for sale.

Elephants

My daughter, Alison, loves elephants. She's not one of those people who has elephants all over the house (although admittedly she has quite a few).
We have passed the elephant love along to Madison. Whether she ultimately likes them remains to be seen as she is only ONE YEAR OLD (yesterday!).
I guess it's because Alison likes them that I am drawn to them. I like these elephants from Annettenett's blog. I think she must make them because there are a lot of them on her blog. I can't tell because it's Norwegian...
