Polymer Clay Dragon

I sculpted this dragon for my son from polymer clay. I really had fun making this. It was such a departure from all the girly things I usually make. I put lots of claws on him and pointy things on his head and tale to make him look fierce.

My first dragon but I liked doing it so much I may make more!

Yuri Munakata's Miniatures

There's something fascinating about dollhouses and anything miniature really.

Yuri Munakata's work is truly breathtaking, isn't it? She makes nearly everything in these rooms, including the rooms. All done in 1/12 scale.

Snowman

I made this ornament based on Tone Finnanger's Tilda line. It's sort of a loose interpretation.

I made the button from polymer clay - my first one. The scarf is a little scrap of fabric from the dress I made for Madison for Christmas last year (sorry, no picture) and the wings are from the fabric I used to make her first birthday dress.

Christmas Love

Here is a detail of some clay hearts I made. I didn't use a template or a punch so they are each hand-formed. These could be used on packages or hung on a tree. I like the white-on-white look with just a dash of glitter for added sparkle. I may make more...!

Polymer Clay Doll

This is my first attempt at making a doll with polymer clay.

It was a lot of fun so I will probably do more. She is all of 3-1/2" tall. Her body is entirely of clay. The dress is cotton fabric. Her eyes definitely look a little buggy...I'll have to fix that.
Anyway, she's cute, n'est pas?

Polymer Clay Work in Progress

I have just finished this polymer clay bear and basket. I know this is hard to see because everything is all white - plus, I am having to take all my pictures with my Treo because my wonderful digital camera that I miss constantly is on the blink. They will be hand painted after baking. Check back later to see how they turn out.

Edit: They didn't turn out well at all. I'm using the little basket to hold bits and bobs. I'm still learning.
