Here's a birdhouse I made from foam core board and a children's Little Golden Book
I first saw the idea on Daily Danny. His version uses a ready-made wooden house but I didn't have one and, like a lot of us out there, I'm trying to use what I already have for crafting from my existing stash. So, I had some foam core and used that instead. Just simple shapes, glued and Mod Podged. Simple.

Illustrator Nicoletta Ceccoli

If you visit her website you can look through the pages of some of the fabulous books she has illustrated.
I would so much like to have a copy of any one of her books to show my grandchildren.
I grew up on fairy tales, Brothers Grimm, Aesop's Fables and Mother Goose. I read them to my kids. Are they really better than the children's books today, or is just because I loved them so
much as a child?
What did you read growing up?

Children's Book Plates
Aren't these sweet?
On page 38 of the latest Small Magazine. I love this magazine. The way they lay out their pages makes you want to buy everything just because it looks so cool. It always gives me good ideas as wel Take a look if you get a chance. By the way, all of the book plates are made by Etsy sellers.
Have a good evening.

Baby's Felt Big Little Book

I got the idea from a Japanese craft book. There are also two other pages but you get the idea. It was fun to make and I hope she will like it.

Drawing in Ink and Colored Pencil
I drew this last year. It's from one of my children's books but I can't remember which one. I love the vintage pictures in the book and this little boy out for a day of adventure. Too bad it had to rain. I love his little puppet and toy horse on wheels.
(Update: It was from "Mother Goose Tales for Children")

Victorian Children's Book Illustration

It's a story about a Victorian family's first trip abroad to Northern France and Paris. The children, Nellie, May, Rose, Dennis and little Bertie experience many new sights including this Paris market.
I love the colors and the subject matter. A classic.
